Startmate’s superpower is connectivity. We connect members of our community with ideas, support, catalysts and each other.
One way we facilitate connections is by publishing community-created content on our blog, in our newsletter and across our social media channels.
Why? Content is one of the fastest and most impactful ways to share ideas, opinions and insights. Content is the ultimate connector.
If you’re hoping to increase your connections exponentially, you’ve come to the right place.
You’ll connect with like-minded individuals, people in a similar stage of startup life, and those with the same interests.
Personal brand boost
What do you want to be known for? What’s your dream job? Content can help you carve out space for yourself in your industry of choice.
Access to our audiences
Anyone can write an article or publish a video, but not everyone has access to Startmate’s sizeable audiences. Our newsletter has more than 15.5K subscribers with an eye-watering 38% average open rate. We also have 17K followers on Twitter, and 19K followers on LinkedIn, with a steady 8% engagement rate. All this is to say, we're at your disposal.
Sharpen your content skills
Did someone say upskilling? Our Media team boasts trained journalists and editors who will support you on your content-creation journey and give you feedback along the way.
This is absolutely untrue.
We are predominantly looking for evergreen content that helps aspiring and early-stage founders, investors and operators. By evergreen, we mean content that isn’t necessarily linked to the news cycle and will still be relevant in six months time.
Beyond this, we’ll be led by what you’re interested in and excited about.
We’re also keen to experiment with formats, so hit us up with your ideas for videos, how-to guides, listicles, templates, event wrap-ups and infographics.
We prioritise publishing content created by Startmate’s family and friends.
Your content is your content! We would never stop you from republishing it in your own Substack, in another media outlet or on another website. However, we do ask that you give us a heads-up.
Your content cannot be promotional. You’re welcome to talk about your startup, industry or area of expertise, so long as you aren’t effectively selling your product or service.
