At the end of high school one of our teachers read us oh the places you'll go by dr seuss and the page "you're off to great places! today is your day! your mountain is waiting, so... get on your way!" had us all in tears
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is a really lovely read
When I was 15 I got a summer job at Hoyts, where my first shift was the opening night of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens film. I remember taking the escalator up to the cinema, the foyer was full of patrons, at least 5 times the usual staff rostered on and my manager was crying. We were pretty much sprinting between film sessions to clean them for the back-to-back sessions all evening.I learnt that although being chucked in the deep end can be very overwhelming, there's never a better opportunity to learn and on the bright side I saw some pretty great costumes.
In an alternate universe I'd be an artist/creator spending my time making things and travelling around the world.
